The Basics of Blogging
Blogging 101 is mostly about the blogging vocabulary. To understand blogs, you need to know the terms blog, platform, domain, and web host.
Once you have mastered these key elements of blogging, you can enter any conversation about blogging with confidence. After you know what exactly a blog is, you will be on your way to passing the final exam of blogging 101.
Blog is taken from the word weblog. It is a series of posts in the internet. Current writing is presented in the first page followed by the previous writing and so on. There are different forms of blogs. The most popular ones are in text. Today, you can also find video and photo blogs, with a little caption.
To make your blog more interesting you can add some images and video on your site. Of course, these images or videos should be in line with your text or you can write your review about those media. Another add-on you can do is a media player, where you can share your favorite music.
In creating a weblog, you must have a platform, web host and domain. The platform is a soft ware that enables you to write, edit and update your posts. Also, it allows you to add designs in your site. You can tweak the colors, font style and font size. The web host would be your online cabinet where your archives are stored. Automatically, your computer sends the updates to your web host. Lastly, the domain, this would be your personal address in the internet. Usually, domain ends with the popular .com (dot com). I suggest that you choose an address that is interesting to capture your reader’s attention. Congratulations, now you can boast about your knowledge regarding the technicalities of blogging. You have passed blogging 101.
