Top Gambling Recommendations for Beginners

by Goodness Maseko

If interested in visiting a casino for the first time - regardless of the reason - there are some considerations you need to take into account first. Beginners in gambling should take the following advice so that they can enjoy the inexperience.

The best thing to do if you are planning a gambling trip as a beginner is to read up on your game of choice. The more you know about a specific game, the more you can more accurately judge which bets are good and bad, thus helping you win more. Beginners can get this information at their local bookstore or online; they can also play simulation games.

Another important tip for gambling if you are a beginner is bankroll management. Among those that engage in these types of games, bankroll management is the most important tip they can ever add to their arsenal. The goal of bankroll management is to keep the player from becoming penniless; it lets them enter a casino with a set amount of money that they know they will spend, win, and lose before leaving the casino. For the person that wants to make sure they they are having a good experience at the casino, these are tips that should always be kept in mind.

Many people are choosing to do their wagering at home, doing online gambling in the privacy of their living room. Today millions of people have ditched land based casinos to go online and play their favorite casino games which include craps, blackjack, roulette and poker. Today, it is far easier to enjoy the comfort and security of these online sites.

Most of the frequent players at these online gambling sites are poker players. For many people, it is impossible to play a good hand of poker at home because there simply aren’t enough people around who also enjoy the game and want to play. This is where online games help, because you can easily seek out people to play poker with, based on region, game, and wager limits. Any type of poker that might be your favorite can be played online. Additional benefits of online game sites include social gatherings through chats and message boards.

When new, the best place to learn how to gamble for free are online gaming sites. Free simulation games are a typical feature of many online gaming sites. Simulation games are almost the same as playing the real game with one important difference- no money is wagered.

If you live in the U.S., it may be that simulation games are the only games that are legal for you to play, as in many places, online wagering is against the law. Before going online to gamble, you should double check your local laws concerning the activity. You can engage in online gambling at any hour in your own home; this is a major benefit over traditional casinos.

Fight Gas Rape With A Water Car Conversion

by Cheap Skater

Without any other energy output, a motor vehicle that in which the fuel is water is called a water-fuelled car. Hydrogen is the fuel in water-fuelled cars; it is a part of the compound that makes water. The hydrogen being used as the fuel does not make this vehicle a steam engine.

A steam engine is one where a source, such as wood or coal, is burned to heat up water. After the water is heated, it becomes steam, which then moves the engine. The fuel source in this case is the wood or coal, not the water.

Due to water being a waste product, it is hard to convert it into fuel. When petrol (gas), wood or coal is burned, it is converted into a substance with less energy. This process converts unstable bonds into stable bonds.

Being a very stable bond already, it is hard to convert it. This stability allows water to resist most reactions. In order for water to be converted into fuel, a high-energy compound must be added to it.

A high-energy compound like calcium carbine, when added to water, will make the fuel acetylene. This makes the fuel calcium carbine not the water in this case. To make fuel from water the only real way is by electrolysis.

A current of power is sent through the water to separate the bonds; this is electrolysis. Two molecules of hydrogen and one of oxygen make water where the hydrogen molecules are the energy source. To separate this bond, it takes a lot of power.

The hydrogen can be converted at an efficiency of 50-70%. However, it takes a battery to break the bonds of water, therefore this is not considered a water-fuelled car but a battery operated one. Because the battery uses so much energy to break the bonds, there is not enough energy to keep the process moving for very long.

A proper and successful water fuelled car has yet to be designed. Creating a truly water-fuelled vehicle is blocked by the first and second laws of thermodynamics. Many vehicles that have been created with the idea that they are water-fuelled have been classified as perpetual motion machines due to the strictness of these two laws.

In Japan, there is an invention that could quite possibly be a true water fuelled car, but it still hasn’t received its patent. An invention must receive a patent to be marketed. A patent also saves a company from being copied by other companies.

With the intent to get a patent, it is possible that a way to use the abundant resource of water for fuel has truly been found. We, who have been hurt by the rise in the price of petrol, will be able to breathe a little easier if this is true. In the not so distant future, a line of water-fuelled cars will produce a cleaner and cheaper way to get around.

This truly wonderful invention has not yet been leaked to other manufacturers. The Japanese are strictly keeping their secret to themselves. Within the next ten years, however, they do believe that they will have it patented.

How to Beat Texas Poker Regularly and Consistently

by Johnny Vegas

Poker is one of the most exciting games available to play. The opportunity to play all the variations of poker comes with knowing the simple rules of the basic game. Each different version has very slight rule changes making playing the game straightforward.

The game play can be taught with very simple steps. No matter how many cards are dealt or how many players are present, the basics of poker apply to all types of the game. The player is able to focus on the more important parts of the game like bluffing, when he knows the basics of the game.

Depending upon table size and the type of game there can be any number of players. However, a dealer must be chosen but the deal can pass to other players, this dealer passes out the cards to the players. The role of the dealer is to decide who won the game and to regulate card deals.

The player to the right of the dealer cuts the cards after the dealer has shuffled them. The ante is then placed into the middle by all the players. At this time, either the players can bet, what is called a blind bet, or they can wait for the dealer to begin the game.

Then, depending upon the version played, the dealer deals out the appropriate number of face down cards. Another bet is made or the players check. Checking means that the players do not feel the need to bet on the cards that they have.

After each face up card is dealt, the players either bet or check. During this time, the players bluff about what they have in their hand. A player bluffs by betting a certain amount making the other players believe that they have the better hand.

Bluffing is what differentiates this game from any other card game. There are other games that involve bluffing but they involve dice. The name of poker derived from the French word Poque, which means to bluff.

Throughout the game, if it comes to a point where one player has bet and all others have folded, the player left wins the pot. If there is more than one player left, the other player either calls or raises. Calling is when the second player doesn’t want to raise the stakes and folding is when a player decides his hand isn’t good enough to go on..

If there are players who wish to see or raise the bet, then, after the last card has been laid out, there is a showdown. This is where all the remaining players flip over their hidden cards to see who won the hand. The highest hand wins the pot and the game starts over again.

Chips, which represent money in poker, are used to keep the betting orderly. Going “all in” is when a player bets all of their chips. A player is eliminated from the game if he or she has lost all their chips.

If you know the basic rules of game play, poker is not a hard game to play. Knowing when to bluff and when to fold your hand is the hardest part of the game. Unless you have developed your talent of bluffing, it is not recommended to use poker as a means of income.

The Kelly Criteria

by John J. Stockwell

The Martingale and Row of Numbers systems of betting use high levels of progression. Here as long as you’re winning, you’re on a roll, but when you lose you double the size of your previous bet and you could become penniless in no time.

But there’s another system, the Kelly Criteria, where the risk of being totally ruined is minimal or not at all. The size of your bet or funds decides the stakes. The progression increases when you are on a winning streak and goes down or decreases when you are losing.

When you use the Kelly Criteria, the punter is expected to be better than the bookmaker or at least be even with him. The Kelly Criteria says that you should have all the advantages on your side. You wouldn’t want to bet on the home team if they didn’t have at least a 50% chance and, say for e.g., if the home team has odds=2.0.

With the Kelly Criteria, either you make money or maximize your advantage by knowing the precondition on every game you pick, or you lose your money by overestimating the probabilities. You should have an edge.

Size of your Fund:

To start with you should have at least 10-15 times more money than your single bet amount. And this means you should have enough money and more capital to cover your losses. The only advantage in the Kelly Criteria is that it tells you what fraction of your bankroll you should commit to.

Length of the Project:

But you should have a time limit and tell yourself to quit when you have reached your betting goal. Or start fresh once you’ve reached your previous goal. At least you get to enjoy the money you have earned while giving you self the necessary experience and the moral fiber to quit while you’re ahead.

If you’ve not set a timef rame or a goal, the bookie gets to enjoy your money as long as it’s with him. Are you earning for the bookie or do you want to use the money as you please? So, it’s important to reset your fund when it reaches 100% payoff.

You would be wise in resetting your fund to make your earnings work for you and deciding when to reset your fund.

Conclusion:

The best thing going for the Kelly Criteria is that you’ll make money fast or minimize your loss at a very slow rate. This advantage is due to the fact that your next bet will be just a percentage of your optimum capital. If your capital is low, your next bet will also be low.

If your average stake is 10% of your total funds or capital, then you stand to lose 6 times in a row and will still have almost 48% of your funds left (take 0.9 and multiply with itself 6 times).

The Kelly Criteria is dependent on the risk you run. You can make money by having a decent required margin, about 5% on each game. If you are able to predict right, guess the probabilities right, your stakes increase. If you lose then the stakes decrease.

Because of this, your account may not show great activity. The Kelly Criteria benefits those punters who don’t just bet for money but for some creative satisfaction like when a prediction comes true.

Online games enable you to play games sitting at one place even at your home. But in fact there are a number of other advantages to choosing online play. The Internet continues to evolve and create more entertainment options almost on a daily basis. So it comes as no surprise that some of your favorite casino games can now be found in online casino. The continually growing number of online establishments offers poker rooms 24/7, all inclusive game selection and a wider range of wager options to fit every budget.

The result is lowered betting minimums and smaller rake fees for the player so that the range of wager is enormously widened to include all types of bettors.

There are several differences between the traditional form of Poker playing and participating in an online Poker game in a virtual casino. The big difference is that there is a lack of the physical interaction that is so vital to a great Poker game. All kinds of tournament play, including the popular Sit and Go tournaments, are constantly available with all stakes and sizes. Multiple tabling is another feature that allows the player to sit in on several games at once. Players are to get in many more hands in the same amount of time by moving from screen to screen.

The benefits of online poker expand to encompass the game play itself. Poker is one of the important games. The players have a better chance of success in an online casino, particularly with online Poker games, as they are able to maintain more than one hand at a time. The reason for the popularity of online Poker is its simplicity as it is very simple to understand and play around the guidelines of this game.

Players are able to sharpen their skills in practice mode, or by using a free promotional balance supplied by many online poker sites. Players are also often allowed to enter into the game with more reasonable bets and are often able to catch tips and explanation with the casino’s website features. Flash Casinos are not used properly

by Steve Briggs

Flash casinos are a great addition to an online casino network but some people have a misunderstanding of the actual purpose they serve. Yes it is true they are designed so that there is no need to download anything to your computer. Where the misunderstanding comes in is when people see the slogan “instant play” or “no downloading necessary, be playing in minutes”. Flash games certainly live up to those claims but what isn’t said is that the overall time involved for the process of downloading the casino and then registering for an account (which is something you would have to complete whether playing at the flash version or the download version) is not very much different.

Further is that once the download version has finished loading onto your computer it is much faster than the flash games, especially when changing from one game to another. The download version switches instantly where as the whole process of leaving the flash game and returning to the menu and then waiting for it to load, just seems to take so much more time that it almost becomes frustrating because you were told this was an instant play casino so you expect everything to happen right now and that simply isn’t how the flash games work.

Then in many cases such as the flash casinos powered by Microgaming, the leader in the online gambling industry, the menu is several pages and it usually takes at least two clicks to find the game you’re wanting to play next so you must wait for each page to load same as you would for any page on the internet only the flash games must have a lot involved because their load time is considerably longer than the time it takes for most web pages to load.

So what good are flash casinos if they are not faster and offer only about half the games as do the download versions? The answer to that is exactly why flash casinos have found a place for themselves nearly ten years beyond the first arrival of most online casinos, which is that they are convenient for those who want to gamble but are away from their home PC. That is entirely the reason flash casinos still exist today, aside from the few who may still need the room on their PC but that must be a minority by now considering that I can easily fit three or four online casinos on this writer’s PC and still have room for Front Page editor version 2003 which takes up over four hundred megabytes and compare that to a RealtimeGaming powered casino which takes up seventy-two megabytes.

Lack of room on a PC shouldn’t be a concern in this day and age but being able to gamble when away from home is a nice convenience that continues to be used by many online gamblers who enjoy playing while sitting at the office or while out on the road. Before getting married and settling down I use to enjoy the convenience of being able to log in from a girlfriend’s house or apartment and we’d kill some time taking turns playing the slots or video poker games. That is the proper use of a flash casino in current times.

Casino Rewards Network Says No to Advatage Players - part 3

by Steve Briggs

If you are one of these kind of players the terms seek to discourage, and you still choose to play at at Casino Rewards site and you try to beat the system in an obvious method, expect to not get paid. The casino is being quite upfront about this matter and in fact is giving away the recipe for not being accused, simply play a little deeper than the minimums.

Advantage players are very savvy and know the casinos do not want their business but they choose to force the issue because it is the only chance they have to enter into a gambling situation and have a positive expectation. It is already understood that a casino cannot stay in business if it is giving out better than it receives, and players choose to give up that percentage the house has over them in order to have a place to go gamble and know they will be paid when they win.

What these kind of terms really hurt is the casino because it will be taken wrong by a percentage of people, and legitimate players who read about these issues and have not yet been involved with online gambling long enough to realize the casino is in fact saving money that can be given to them, will not sign up to play there. Those players lose out because Casino Rewards have been the top of my reputable list for nearing ten years and I’ve had only one complaint in all that time and that one was due to the player misunderstanding when they were to get credited for a high hand bonus at the poker site. That’s an outstanding record in my book, by any standards actually, but especially when you know the incompetence, greed and over-indulged egos that lurk out there in the virtual casino world.

These are casinos time-proven to pay even the biggest of amounts of money, such as the recent winner located in Finland who was paid a whopping five and a half million dollars from BlackjackBallroom on a fifty cent slot machine bet that resulted in the jackpot.

If I can trust Casino Rewards in knowing they pay those kind of jackpot amounts, then I think I can trust them to be able to look at my proven play history and determine I am not a bonus chaser. I do not deposit and play the minimum, only then to cash out. The only people who will have such reason to complain about these terms are those who are first time players that have accepted a bonus and then played the minimum required wagers to cash out. If that isn’t the definition of an advantage player then what would be? The casinos are making it very clear they don’t want this kind of player, they are not welcome, and that they are not going to have how they run their business dictated to them by a group of opportunists. If you choose to call the casino unfair for making these terms and conditions clearly available to be known before any money exchanges hands, then so be it.

However legitimate players with a savvy of online gambling will not find such terms threatening and enjoy having the confidence in knowing they are playing at an online casino in the network of the likes of Blackjack Ballroom which as mentioned just paid out five and a half million dollars. This was reported on Fox news the month of April, 2008 and is a matter of public record.

One last thing, Casino Rewards, the network accused of trying to avoid paying the small withdrawals by those profiled as not accepting the bonus in spirit given, is the same network that just recently bought the failed network of casinos that included Golden Reef, Challenge, Nostalgia and Music City, who closed their doors while still having many of their player’s money. Casino Rewards announced when they bought the failed network that all outstanding debt to the players would be paid by them thus ensuring nobody got hurt. Rather an odd act of charity to come from some place willing to stoop to cheating bonus chasers out of a few dollars, wouldn’t you say? Or is it that Casino Rewards has taken their stance based on principal, rather than on trying to save a few dollars?

New Games for Online Casinos

by Steve Briggs

New games keep life spicy for those who like to play the online casinos. Sure gamblers have their steadfast favorites but we all like to try something new and for gamblers it is no different. Playing online makes it much easier to try the new offerings however. For one thing the new games come just about every month if playing at a Microgaming software powered casino compared to perhaps once a year at land based casinos.

In fact I don’t recall the last time I saw a new slot machine in the three reel version at land casinos although they must by now be feeling the pressure to start bringing in new machines considering the on line competition continues to roll out new games at a rate of about three a month. Online casinos powered by Microgaming now have as many as three hundred and fifty games. It is unlikely you could find any casino in Las Vegas or Atlantic City which can boast they have over three hundred and fifty separately individual games of chance to offer their customers.

Many of those games are slot machines of course and they have so many different means of getting money back to the players that it would take an entire article just to list all of them but suffice to say that there is probably a slot machine with features to fit almost any taste that favors playing the one armed bandits. This is not to say however that the online games are limited in other areas because that would be a very false statement. One online casino powered by Microgaming has fifty versions of blackjack, a number no land casino ever dreamed of being able to offer.

The new games also include new versions of the old favorite table and poker games as well as slot machines. Just recently in June of 2008, Microgaming released yet another version of Roulette which is based on the European rules but has improved graphics and sounds that include the sound of the crowd as the ball is put into play, the metallic sound of the ball hitting the wheel and many other small details that had been until now overlooked.

Also just recently released is a game that is an example of a trend that is increasing in popularity where an old favorite slot game is updated to include all the new gadgets and gizmos that have since been invented to increase the attractiveness of slot gaming. This game is fashioned after the original Big Kahuna video slot game and this one includes a bonus screen which is actually like a slot machine inside a slot machine.

Each new monthly addition of games at online casinos seem to push the boundaries of those that had preceded them so there is a never-ending supply of new games at Microgaming powered online casinos.

Why Poker has grown So Much

by Robo Harrier

Poker used to be a truly game played in private, behind closed. Professional poker players would be thought of as con men, or worse. Wow, has that all changed.

Three different events occurred that have created this new world. These three things have combined to change how poker is viewed by the public. It is now big business. Read on to see how this has happened.

It begins in 1998 when someone decided to open an online poker room. There were online casinos since 1994. But there were no poker rooms. Now we have people relaxing in front of their computers playing poker.

Poker has been shown on television since the late 70’s. First by CBS, and later taken over by ESPN, a one hour show of the WSOP main event was shown every year. The audience was small and things were going nowhere.

The next step actually was created first. This is the “pocket cam”, the camera that shows you the cards the players have. This was patented by Henry Orenstein in 1994, and first used in Europe in 1997. This invention would prove to be instrumental in the poker boom.

In 2002 a couple of things happened. The WPT (World Poker Tour) was formed and held tournaments that were recorded and aired the next year. These recording used the pocket cam as a key tool in their shows. Earlier in 2002, ESPN used the pocket cam for the first time on U.S. television while covering the WSOP.

The use of the pocket cam gets more people watching. The fact that the viewer can see what the players have increases the drama, and exposes the strategies. ESPN decides to show a lot more of the event the following year.

For the first time, they will get action from beginning to end, and add air time. Pocket cam will be used even more. What happens in the 2003 WSOP changes the poker scene completely.

The tournament concludes with unknown Chris Moneymaker beating all the pros to capture the $2.5 million dollar first prize. He is basically just a small time internet player. He won $10,000 entry for $40, by working his way through two levels of qualifying.

When an unknown internet player turns $40 in $2.5 million, interest in poker explodes. Everyone wants to get involved in poker. The poker industry takes off.

The internet makes poker accessible. The pocket cam makes it fun and intriguing to watch on television. And, Chris Moneymaker makes us believe we all have a can be world champ.

Tips for the Beginner Poker Player

by Ramraj

Online Poker is one of the few games where a player is judged a winner based on how much money they have won, not by the number of hands that they have won. At first you will have to play just for fun and with a limited bankroll. You have to know that playing for fun money won’t get you competition. In these poker rooms there is hardly any competition at all. While Poker is very much a game of acquired skills and not lucks, this doesn’t mean that a beginner can’t also be a winner.

As a beginning player, there are some tips that can be followed to increase your chances of winning at the table. Beginners make many mistakes like playing too many hands for example. They wish for a miraculous turning around of the odds, they think they will get lucky at the next hand and receive the cards they need and they don’t quit on time it is also a good idea for new poker players to keep a log, of sorts, of the games played and how they performed.

One of the most enjoyable parts of playing poker, as a beginner, is to learn the tricks of the game. Even if you make a mistake, the probably is low that when you do the exact same moves that mistake will occur again. When playing online and especially if you are a beginner, don’t exceed your budget ever you must be very careful with the games you are entering in. It is important to note that over using these tricks and tips can quickly become a disadvantage to your game.

Tricks are nice, but should be used only when they can help you win and not just because they are fun to perform during the game.

Probably the most important trick that you can ever learn when playing poker, is to know when to bet and when to hold on to your money. The good line about online poker is the fact you can keep your theory book close to you even while playing. If ever unsure, check the book. If you don’t learn when to fold, you won’t win very often. It is especially important for a new player to learn when to stop upping the pot; just because you think you can win it. Your opponents will gladly take your money.
