Self esteem - what exactly is it? In general terms self esteem is regularly described as the way in which a person values or regards himself. However, belief and self respect for his image also comes into it too. Self esteem is important as it quite often dictates the way we mix and communicate with others and how we behave towards them. Individuals with little or no self esteem usually have no confidence in anything they do and have little faith in themselves in any way.

People must be able to engage in introspection and be aware of what they already know about their self esteem, and for this it is crucial to have a firm understanding of what self esteem is. Understanding self esteem can help one to have it, and make it work to one’s advantage.

Self esteem helps us keep going and helps us to cope with the daily challenges we are forced to deal with. One’s self confidence moulds who we are, how we deal with obstacles and how we handle decision making. In our journey through life, this can be our biggest asset

When we have sufficient levels of self esteem, we are far more decisive and the confidence we exude gives us the power to deal with other people and often take on the experience of new things and any associated risks involved. It is the way in which we push ourselves forward in life. However, a high level of self esteem can sometimes be regarded by others as an air of arrogance when in fact it is really only your confidence shining through.

Our self esteem not only affects how we behave towards other people, but also how we react to ourselves. It can be the deciding factor to our success or failure. Self esteem plays an important role in our lives and helps us to be confident in life in general as well as coping with all the obstacles we are likely to face during our lifetimes.

What are the Factors of Self Esteem?

Our self esteem is nurtured and cultivated in part because of the support we receive from our family and friends. The confidence we gain from having a supportive and nurturing environment when we are young will carry over into adulthood. Adults with poor self esteem can get an ego boost from helping and supporting other family members.

Children and teens may not know exactly what self esteem is, but they can still develop good self-esteem. It can also be difficult for adults who do understand low self esteem to cope with it. Encouragement and guidance can help people gain self esteem and become more confident in all aspects of their lives.

OK, I think you get the picture. There is so much hype out there that it is difficult to tell fact from fiction. A good way to tell, do a Google search look at the advertisements and count the number of advertisements with the same sales page but different domain names. This will give you an idea of what you will have to do to compete. There is one individual that has over 70,000 sales letters out there. How in the world does a new person compete with that? You Don’t. Keep reading if you want to know how to succeed. You can be building financial freedom within the next 24 hours.

Choose your mentor wisely as they will more than likely determine your success. We are all in need of training and being taught. The only difference is what level of training we each need. Your mentor should be continually engaged in finding new technology, new methods and new ideas to maximize your success. This means that they must go outside their current organization and learn from the highly successful. If the system you are looking at is not evolving in nature……..RUN A WAY.

ENOUGH of the Hype. The internet is full of people telling you, “We have a system that will do everything for you, you do not need to do anything.” ENOUGH of these lies. If you tie your future to these “Witch Doctors” then be ready for failure and then jump to the next big idea. Being successful requires effort, it requires learning, growing into a better person and it requires you to care for others that wish to succeed too. Run as far away from these “no work” opportunities as you can get. Grab an honest opportunity and put your passion to work.

Their system needs to be one that is evolving, one that uses outside consultants to bring in new ideas, one that take people out of their comfort zone and pushes them to succeed, one the is respectful to everyone involved and one that is easily laid out to follow and implement. The training system is a very important part of your future success. You see we are all in our current financial situation because of the choices we make on a daily basis. Let there be no doubt that you can become rich through other people, if you will help them achieve their dreams.

I learned something about 4 years ago that changed my life forever. Here it is: We are all in our situations because we choose to keep ourselves in that position. After I learned this and decided to change my situation, my wealth exploded. Don’t let the fear of the unknown keep you from achieving a life filled with family and friends. This is much different than working for someone else and having no time for family and friends. The choice is yours…..What will you accept?

What school does your children attend? Why don’t they go to the top private school in your area? The answer is simple, first, most people do not know the type of educations they wealthy children receive. Secondly, most people think the public school system is fine. Let me tell you that the best public school is even close. So by us not sending our children to the best private schools, we have already started our children in second place. Don’t let your Grand Children fall into the same trap.

If you were financially independent, you would you still live in the same neighborhood, have the same dentist, same doctor, same house…. I think the answer for most is NO. You would live differently. You would help more people, spend more time doing what you loved rather than building a stressful life.

I am constantly amazed at people who listen to others who have no idea what they heck they are talking about. Listening to family or friends tell you that you cannot be financially free is amazing to me. If someone tells you that you cannot better yourself, do not be around them any more as they are killing your future opportunities. There is no luck in this world, only opportunities that some people see and take full advantage of while others see it and call it luck. Action produces what others call luck.

Don’t be afraid of success. Embrace the opportunities and stay true to you who you are. We all have obstacles we face in life. Some people take action and go through these obstacles while some people stop and settle. The human sole works best when it is challenged and has focus in life. Develop your focus and see what you can achieve in your life. If you really want to achieve wealth, then help others achieve their dreams and you can become rich through other people.

Here is how to feed your greatness: Believe that you can achieve anything. Find a mentor and work hard with them to achieve your goals. Develop a training plan to change the way your mind sees things. This is critical to you reaching financial freedom. Track your financial situation and set monthly goals. Set a goal to increase your income by a certain amount each month. Keep striving to feed your greatness Set a budget each month and stick to it. Become a better person each month.

If you really want out of your current situation, then find a mentor and put together a plan on how to achieve your goals. The key to change is guidance and training from others. If you are serious then take action.

Neuro Linguistic Programming: An Intro to NLP

Neuro-linguistic programming, or NLP, was developed by John Grinder and Richard Bandler during the 1970s. Bandler and Grinder originally set out to study what set highly effective psychotherapists apart from the others in their field. What they ended up with was a methodology for self-improvement all its own.

NLP is different from traditional self-growth methods, positive thinking, and psychotherapies in that it focuses on what work, and relies on a method called modeling to copy and teach success. It sometimes disregards what we might believe to be true or false, and works off of certain presuppositions.

NLP is very much about context, one of the things that it presupposes is that failure does not exist. NLP also assumes that if you want to make a change in your life, that you have all the resources that you need to be able to do that.

It doesn’t matter whether or not the presupposition is true as long as it is useful. For example, is a drill true? What, you never asked that question about a drill? I never have neither, but I’ve used one many times and it works just fine whether or not it’s true.

NLP also assumes that people are not broken. In fact, they work perfectly. Even burglars, thieves, and alcoholics work perfectly.

Some therapies seem to operate on the premise that there is something wrong with people and they need to be repaired in some way. This can be disempowering and tends to turn people into victims by reinforcing a belief that they’re in some way damaged or broken. This, in turn, gives people an excuse to repeat negative behavior in the future.

As an example, think about a negative belief you have about yourself and how it might be holding you back. Many of our negative beliefs are reinforced by years of listening to others. Take the case of someone who has been told all of their life that they’re a poor learner. They become a victim of their own self-limiting belief and spend their time on trying to fix their perceived learning problems instead of accomplishing their goals.

Since another presupposition of neuro-linguistic programming is that you have all the resources at your disposal to make a change, you would focus on modeling the behaviors and beliefs of people who are better learners.

As Talane Miedaner writes in her book, “Coach Yourself to Success” there’s a similar principle used in life coaching that the “present is perfect.” It essentially forces you to start from where you are and empowers you to make changes, rather than turning you into a victim.

Another premise of success used in NLP is the fact that if someone can achieve success at something, then it can be modeled and achieved by someone else as well. Since NLP is based on what works, and not just a theory, it also uses the idea that if what you’re doing isn’t working, then adapt and change what you’re doing.

Neuro-linguistic programming was adapted and put into practice by Tony Robbins. Tony made his own brand of NLP-based self-improvement, and became very well known for showing people how to achieve quick turn-arounds.

A fair amount of information on NLP is available online if you want to learn the basic techniques. There are also many practitioners you can work with to enhance your skills and understanding. If you’re looking for an effective and practical approach to life change, then this may do the trick.

Want to Get Back With Your Girl Friend? Pace Yourself

We all make mistakes. Some are deliberate and others are not. A few of these such as losing the car keys, hardly make a dent in our lives. Saying or doing something that causes your girlfriend to leave you for good is life changing.

If you want her back, mourning over your loss will not help. Instead, you need to be taking action, the right action, starting now to get your ex back. This calls for the right pacing and finesse to pull off. The following tips will touch on this.

1.) The problem isn’t going away on it’s own, so putting your head in the sand won’t help. Passivity like this may help by allowing bad feelings to cool down, but doing nothing will get you nothing. Anything worth having is worth working hard for. A lot of effort will be needed to bring your ex back, so it’s time to get up and do something.

2.) Moving too fast or pressing too hard will only make things worse. Don’t try to attack this head on as if it were a battle. Instead you’ll need to take a more deliberate and measured approach which will take some time.

You need to gradually ease her back into the relationship. A wound requires time to heal. The same is true of a broken relationship. Don’t add more stress to the stressful breakup itself.

3.) How much force is necessary to bring her back? Answer: none. It’s not about forcing or pushing, instead it’s about drawing her back in. It all revolves around enticement.

Take responsibility for and correct your part of the blame for the separation. You will want to present yourself to her as a better man. You’ll have to demonstrate to her a level of maturity that you never thought you had.

4.) Knowing when to stop is very important. If she’s been rejecting you for a very long time and her life has definitely moved on, you should take the hint. This is especially true if she has remarried. Continued persistence on your part makes you a stalker. If you can’t bring yourself to stop, then you should consider seeking some professional help.

Success at getting back with your girlfriend will depend on the actions that you take after the breakup. Bad timing and the wrong actions will destroy your chances of ever getting her back. You’ll need to formulate and execute a good plan.

They’re no different than you or me. They like to be outside. They get cabin fever. But ants know that winter never lasts forever. At least it hasn’t yet.

The same is true in our lives. Our lows will pass. We’ll feel the warm on our faces again. The plenty will come again. Even the Ice Age eventually ended.

4. During the summer, ants gather all they possibly can. Rohn calls this the all-they-possibly-can philosophy.

The seasons follow the same order. Always. Don’t be surprised that winter follows fall. It’s always the same.

But sometimes we’re surprised by an early snowstorm. Or a colder than normal winter. Don’t be surprised, be prepared.

So remember the ant philosophy…

1. Don’t quit.

Modern Hypnotherapy - common misconceptions

Hypnotherapy is a rapidly advancing field that is leaving behind the old Svengali-like mind control image, and proving instead to be an effective treatment for a range of psychological and psychosomatic (physical issues exacerbated or created by the mind) problems.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful technique of human interaction that, when skillfully applied, enables people to shift and overcome long standing negative beliefs, behaviour patterns, and emotions, replacing them with life enhancing alternatives.

Even though Hypnotherapy has advanced as a field, the common public still has some misconceptions about hypnotherapy and as a result, they avoid hypnosis in general which is not really necessary.

Here is a few of the reservations people have : -

1.”I fear getting stuck in the state of hypnosis”

This is the most common fear that people still have. For the record, there have been no verified and recorded instances of patients just getting “stuck” in hypnosis.

To go into a very deep trance often requires a lot of practice and it is rare for a patient to go in such a deep trance that they cannot understand and follow the instructions of the hypnotherapist to open their eyes. Moreover, the patient always remains in control and can open his or her eyes at any time they like.

2.”Could my therapist mind control me?”

This stems from the old portrayal of hypnosis such as the evil Svengali character that was able to use his innate influence to control others. The media and stage hypnosis have also helped to instill the idea that people can be controlled in hypnosis.

You remain in control throughout a hypnosis session, and though you are willfully accepting the hypnotherapists programming suggestions, you could just as easily choose to disregard any suggestions that are somehow unacceptable to you.

3.”I do not think I can go in to a state of hypnosis”

Different people have different natural abilities to go in to a hypnotic state similar to the varying abilities people have in sports, music etc. The important thing to remember however, is that with practice, anyone can improve their ability to go in to hypnosis.

A skilled therapist will work individually with each client to make sute that they have the right tools and understandings to get the desired results with hypnosis.

4.”Will I still be conscious?”

During the state of hypnosis, a patient is totally aware of everything around them. Many patients have reported that they actually feel more aware during hypnosis because they are more relaxed and still. They can clearly hear and feel whatever is around them.

5.”Will my therapist know all my secrets?”

Again, this is impossible because as mentioned earlier, patients are always in control throughout the session. The only thing that has been reported by patients is that they feel more accepting and open to the positive suggestions made by their therapist.

The reality is, it is just as easy to lie in hypnosis which is part of the reason that material recovered whilst a person is in hypnosis is not admissible in court.

Once people understand hypnosis better, they are more able to use it effectively as a patient and get better results.

Hypnosis has been developed throughout decades and people are finding it to be more effective then conventional routes in many cases.
